Hippos are the animals you really have to watch out for when on a small boat on Lake Kariba but this one stayed still long enough for me to get a great portrait as he watched us giving him a wide berth – April 2014

re hairy Hippo: Great one Rory! I recall all too well seeing them UNDER our boat and as it were walking/running along the bed of Lake Kariba … scary and fascinating!
Indeed Bryden, nervously watching the bubbles to see what direction it was moving and guessing where it would surface next
